    does anyone know of anything new in the hv40 that is coming in april? specs look just like the hv30 to me? 30i/24p/30p. same cmos 2.96mp sensor....

    The only difference that I'm aware of is you don't need to do pulldown removal for 24p on the HV40 like you have to do on the HV20/HV30.............................other than that, it's just like the HV30.

    Native 24P but agreed, not worth the price difference. It'll be $300-$400 more than the HV30 when it comes out.
