Federal law prohibits broadcast of any program on a commercial network without at least one commercial break every 5 minutes. After all, the event is nothing more than a hormone-driven B-movie for the advertisers' "messages".

And what's up with all that "World Series" crap? (Rhetorical)

I have a perfect record. I have not watched one Superbowl, or even part of one. Never will.

Soccer? Non-stop action? You have GOT to be kidding. 90 minutes of some of the most athletic guys in the world acting like total bitches (who have just been shot by an elephant gun) when someone comes within 5ft of them then getting up like nothing happened 1.7 seconds later. SCORE. Sign me up.

The Cardinals have cheerleaders. The Steelers haven't for years.

I will catch a little of the game, although football is not really my sport. Not watching the Steelers play in a Superbowl would get me kicked out of the family.

WOW!!! What a great game. Even better than last year. Only thing lacking was that Bruce did not sing "Born in the USA"!

It's called the World Series because it was originally sponsored by The New York World.A defunct newspaper.

I'm happy to report I didn't watch the game and I had no idea who won until the next day when I checked on-line before going to work and I did that ONLY because I wanted to know if people would be annoyingly sad pricks or happy stupid idiots.

I got stuck with happy stupid idiots which is better than the first choice but now I have to suffer the odd glances when people say "how about that game?" and I say "didn't watch it" ... one persno even wouldn't believe me and thought I was joking.

I find all spectator sports be it football or baseball or soccor or basketball or whatever .. all of it is for simpltons and for those smart enough to "know better" all I can say is that it must be a guilty pleasure indocturnated at an early age where they had no choice and still can't quit shake it. For the total loser that claimed we don't know what we are missing and that it is 3 hours of pure joy: You are an idiot.

I love Pro sports. NFL is my favorite. I have had the pleasure of watching the Dodgers when Dodger dog were $1 and a good size beer was $1. Been to many a Sabers game and then to the Aud club afterward for beer and beef on wick. Also been to my share of B-Ball games, Brave and college.

All good stuff. Gets me away from my computer. There is intelligent life out there!!!!!!!!! If I had the money I would go to the Superbowl every year. It's a great big party. What's not to like?

I ticked the box saying I wasn't going to watch it but the BBC was relaying it that night in place of their usual programmes. Have to admit the picture, especially the colour, was absolutely stunning.

Quite possibly -- onscreen, for about half a minute -- IF you were a Comcast viewer in Tucson.
When in Las Vegas, don't miss the Pinball Hall of Fame Museum ( http://www.pinballmuseum.org/ ) (http://lasvegas.wikia.com/wiki/Las_V...of_Fame_Museum ) -- over 150 tables from 6+ decades of this gradually disappearing American art form.
