I've had my iPod for a while now. It's a 30GB. Recently, I've had a problem - with all of my recently uploaded music (uploaded from CD to iTunes, then to iPod), it jumps to the next track when there's still 10 seconds left in my current track. It's only with my newer stuff; my old stuff still plays fine. My brother has a 30GB iPod also (his is newer than mine), and he's had no problems with the exact same music, uploaded from the same computer, same everything. So, it must be something with my iPod. I made sure Compilations was off, since my brother said that could be doing it. I've tried resetting it several times (pressing and holding menu and the circle button), and it hasn't helped. I tried re-uploading one of the effected albums, and I believe I tried playing some of the tracks on my iPod through iTunes. Now a couple on the album (I believe the ones I experimented with, if I recall right) play well, but the rest are still jumping when they hit 10 seconds left in the song. My dad said his iPod doesn't work right when he has text put on it, and so it might be something on my iPod, but I don't know what it could be, since I haven't added anything unusual or different than what I usually do lately. He said it may be because I've been adding and deleting a lot of different movies on my iPod lately, saying it wasn't meant to be that kind of portable media device (I've added a movie or two a good number of times in recent past to play on the TV (through a portable DVD player with an iPod option), and then deleted it after watching it). One more thing: my iPod's battery has for a while been dying I think, and I haven't yet put the new one in. I'm not sure if this could effect the skipping, though kind of I doubt it, since a couple days ago I was having the problem and the battery life at that point was nearly full. Any thoughts as to what's wrong with it and how I can fix this problem? Thanks a lot. ^^
