For some unknown reason when I try to export a movie sequence as a WMV file by using 'Quicktime Conversion' IT ONLY RENDERS THE FIRST 30 SECONDS of the sequence! I have never run across this kind of problem before. Does anyone know how to successfully export from FCP to Windows Media (WMV) ?

I have Final Cut Pro 6.0.5

    Thanks in advance!

I went crazy with this problem until I added flip for mac studio pro.

I also added squeeze which is what I use to export to .wmv.

Not sure if you need squeeze.
A picture is worth a thousand words, but a good camera is worth about a thousand bucks.

Does that program allow you to export WMV files DIRECTLY from final cut or does it only convert them AFTER you make a quicktime file?

you just have the free Flip4Mac codec (free to decode) but not the commercial Flip4Mac codec to encode (50$), right?

I ended up buying the Flip4Mac Studio Pro for $99 and it now exports from Final Cut Pro perfectly! Thanks for the info!
