Recently reinstalled my ati aiw, and not sure if I screwed something up along the way or what. Trying to capture in virtualdub, the displayed video is 'splitting'. Then the output clip is 1/2 the height, and says progressive. Selected 640x480. Doesn't matter if I choose picvid mjpeg, lead mjpeg, or even huffyuv2.2.1 w/ patch... choosing 'more than 288' for field detection. They all output the same.
Is it a setting in my aiw, or in vdub itself?
