    In Auto Gordian Know you can choose between xvid or divx. Whats the difference? Which is better? which gives better picture?

  3. Both are MPEG 4 part 2 (ASP) encoders. Divx is a commercial product. Xvid is a free open source project. Xvid can be a little slower (depending on settings used) but most people say it delivers slightly better results.
