    Hey I'm new to uploading videos on youtube; I do know that uploading videos on youtube converts it which takes a hell lot of time. I want to do the encoding straight from my dvd video(A legal one mind you) to an flv on my desktop.
    I couldn't find relevant topics so I decided to post this one here. Btw, I can't upload the video directly because it is about 3gb in size. Detailed help would be appreciated.

    Xvid4psp or avidemux can convert directly from a dvd to flv or mp4 h264. But I guess youtube still will reconvert.
