Mp4 to avi video freezes in WinFF

Hello all, recently I kinda want to convert some mp4 to avi to watch on my dvd player. I tried out Winff yesterday and really love the simplicity and the reviews. With that, my problem is the avi are freezing every few seconds but the audio keeps on going. I tried on a couple different files of mp4 using the xvid in AVI 4:3 and 16:9 options and stil have same problem playing on the philips dvp3960. On the pc it plays just fine. Im using the latest winff and also tried an older version but same issue. Appreiciate the help.

Despite the simplicity of WinFF, its xvid avi preset apparently has something that is incompatible with your player (most likely a packed bitstream) but okay when played on the PC.

Look for another converter or go to the WinFF forums -- or e-mail BiggMatt -- for a possible solution.

Thanks, will try that and Im trying out another converter. Other solutions are welcome.
