  2. Have ffdshow, avisynth and AnyDVD. All lastest versions, downloaded tonight from this site. Using the LG GGW-H20L. All I get from BD Rebuilder is "Selected source is not BD format." Any clues???

    Thanks.

Finally, I made an playable BD shrunk movie to my SAMSUNG BD-P1400 player!
    I use the following programs:
    1. Avidemux 2.4 Qt4
    2. AVIMux_GUI
    3. mkv2vob
    4. ImgBurn
THANK'S for your guide Baldrick and BitBurners.com
    However i wonder...
Why a SIMPLE program for BD files similar (or better) to "DVD SHRINK" doesn't exist here?
A lot of people (and visits to your site) are waiting...
    Thanks again!

    Hi all
My problem is trying to shrink a bd 50 down to a bd 25, i set up bd rebuilder to do a full backup, it seems to work fine doing the reencoding of these files in the stream screen of rebuilder
    vid_00003 MPEG-4 (AVC), 1080p, 23.97fps 16.39 MB
    vid_00017 MPEG-4 (AVC), 1080p, 23.97fps 19.18 MB
    vid_00018 MPEG-4 (AVC), 1080p, 23.97fps 33.56 MB
    ect ect and so on
but as soon as it tries to do the reencoding of this file it just hangs and goes no further
    vid_00021 MPEG-4 (AVC), 1080i, 29.97fps 6,746.50 MB

any help in fixing this problem is well appricated

It doesn't recognize the AC-3 audio, again!
It doesn't matter how long , but please guys...

  10. maybe one day this program will actually be useful.

At this rate (approx 24 hours to compress BD to a DVD and with all these problems), it's a lot cheaper just to buy the original BDs.

    VID_21 MPEG-4 (AVC), 1080i, 29.97fps, 6,746.50 MB

This is the only 1080i file in the whole lot, is this the reson why?

veronica, you need to practice patience. Bumping your post a few minutes later is a violation of our rules. Please wait a few days for a answer. Using "ALL CAPS' in a post will also get your post ignored by most of our members. This is considered shouting and not a good idea if you want someone to respond.

Most Blu-ray discs have True HD audio, and you may need to convert that to AC-3 audio. Or select a different audio track. I don't know for sure, I don't use BD Rebuilder that often. You might want to look to the author for better information. He posts on the Doom9 forum most times. http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=143716

BD Rebuilder is a 'beta' program. That means it may not work for everyone. If you go to the Doom9 site, you may get better information about your specific problem.

I should add that not all Blu-ray discs are easy to work with. Some require a bit more knowledge. Have you tried other discs with the program?

first make sure that you have the latest versions of FFDShow and Matroska Splitter. personally i just install the latest K-Lite Codec Pack (Standard) and it takes care of all that. After the install, run "Video Decoder Configuration" for FFDSHOW from the "START/Programs" menu, and make sure MPEG2 decoding is enabled. also you need AVISYNTH 2.57 or newer. and try the newest version of BD-RB, v0.20.03.

for VC-1 encodes, have WMP11 installed, and in ffdshow have VC-1 disabled, so as to let WMP11 decode it.

some interlaced video sections do give BD-RB problems right now, the author is aware of this, but i think its mostly due to the inability for decoders to properly decode the video. the new nVidia decoders seem to work some people have said.

i have MPEG2 disabled because i have PowerDVD installed on my system, and i let that decode my mpeg2. otherwise, have it at libmpeg2, if that doesnt work, try libav.

but its saying that it fails to retrieve audio. hmm. maybe take a screenshot of the disc in BDInfo 0.52. BD-RB does have trouble with 7.1 sources at the moment. that could be the problem.

been doing full disc copies for a while now using traxdata 25 gig discs no playback problems at all i wish there was support for true hd regarding full disc to dvd5 or dvd9 the ps3 shows them as data discs i havent had much luck trying to patch them also there doesnt seem much point in going from 43 odd gig to 8 gig the bitrate on the film would be well low

    Hi all,
This seems to be my latest problem,

Trying to do a full backup with menus and all from a BD50 to a BD25.

Now the problem seems to be if the movie file is in seperate mt2s file (split) I can get it to reincode using the lastest version of bd_rebuilder but when burned and played it plays so much of the film and the it either locks up or jumps scenes.

I have none of these problems if the film is in just the 1 mt2s file, is there a way to fix this or a possible work around??

To Davie, I had the problem with the 1080i files, Make sure you have no other codex on your system and all the software you need to run bd_rebuilder correctly, These inclued the latest FFDSHOW and the Matroska splitter and AVISYNTH for it to work properly, this fixed the problem with the 1080i files for me
