I have ripped every TV Show that I own on DVD to my hard drive as individual episodes. I ripped them as VOB files and then simply changed the extension to MPG so that I could play them in Media Portal.
It works great except for Futurama. When the video gets to a point where there was a chapter break on the DVD, it skips ahead about 10 seconds past the beginning of the next chapter. It does this whether I play the MPG in Windows Media Player 11 or the original VOB file in DivX PLayer.
Now, when I rip to an ISO, everything plays perfectly, and all the files from the 14 other TV series I've ripped play perfectly, so I don't think it's a problem with my system, players, or ripping procedure. But, for the record, I've tried it with DVD Shrink, DVD Decrypter, and DVD Fab HD, and gotten the same result. Again, this only happens with the Futurama TV series.
Does anyone have any ideas about why this is happening?
