I have the latest version of AnyDVD HD installed. Also I have the UDF 25 Reader installed so I can read the directory of the BRD.

The problem is that there are dozens of m2ts files in the stream directory, and the numbering of the files seems random!

Other discs I have backed up with Ripbot264 have had one large m2ts file. But this title has dozens of files that seem to make up the movie and all the extras. I am not sure which files are parts of the movie, and which files are the extras.

So when I load RipBot how do I know which files to add and in which order? Is there a playlist someone on the disc that calls the appropiate m2ts files? Can I load the playlist into RipBot?

If someone can please help me out I would appreciate it. I did look through the forum, but only found a topic using DOS to copy m2ts files together, but I don't know which ones to copy and in what order. I just want to backup the movie with NO extras...

Also, any difference in audio/video quality in mp4 vs. mkv? Also is "x.x copy stream" the best option to pick to backup the TrueHD audio? I am trying to end up with a backup as close as possible to the original. Thanks!

DBInfo will tell you the list and order of the m2ts files the movie is put together. Just drag that .mpls file into tsmuxer and create one large m2ts file with the whole movie, and you can take it from there to encode it...

Ok. Thank you. I installed BDinfo. Once I got Net Framework 2.0 on there, it ran no problem. Before it just crashed.

So in BDInfo I selected the playlists directory, and it gave me a list of m2ts files contained in each mpls. There are 3 of them 0000, 0001, 0056 that are all the exact same length, and seem to contain similiar files, but not identical.

Are these variations of the movie? How do I know which one to pick? Really all I can go by is the length, and all 3 are the same?

TX midzuki for correcting the typo error

mr.adventure, I don't have this movie, so can't double check it for you, but if all 3 are the same exact length and have the same files, just the order is switched around, then I'd guess that 2 of them are bogus to confuse the rippers. I'd guess the 00056.mpls would be the right one, just double check by going thru the list and watch the m2ts files listed in the playlist, you'll find out which one is out of the order.

Does this movie have multiple angles?

Mr. Adventure, did you ever figure out what the stream sequence was for the Death Race blu-ray? I rented it, ripped it and deleted everything exept the stream folder, and then returned it. I don't have the .mpls anymore and now it's too late since I returned it. If you could post the file number order, that would be so awesome, or maybe email me the .mpls file if you still have it? Thanks in advance! -Chris

Nevermind... I just found the list on the slysoft forum. And here is the link for anyone else looking for it, or for people who can't get bdinfo working like the guy on the slysoft forum.
    http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?t=24364
I also have this same issue (no more mpls file) for Pineapple Express, Spiderman 2 and both AVP movies. If I can find the stream listing for any of those four, I'll post it. If anyone knows where those can be found, please post. Thanks in advance, -Chris

Thanks for your post Atak, but I think you've misunderstood my issue. I'm aware of Baldrick's fantastic guide and it would apply if I had the complete blu-ray rip intact with all of its component files, but I don't. Mainly, I'm missing the .mpls file that has the stream sequence in it. So all I have left is a folder with all of the (5 digit name) streams in it but no way to decipher which order they go in (in tsmuxer for example) to recreate the whole movie. What I need for those other four movies is a list that would appear something like this for example: 00022, 00035, 00023, 00037, 00024, 00039, etc...

I realize that. I had it and deleted it by mistake, but like I said, I don't have access to the discs temporarily and I'm just curious if anyone out there knows the sequence or can upload or email me the .mpls file from their rip.

@cjbrown80: If you do not own the original disc, the only thing you should be worried about is how to delete whatever backup of the video you may have.
    Please read the forum rules.
    Thank you.

It sounds like you're accusing me of piracy maybe?
I have over 100 blu-rays in my collection, so I'd guess that I've contributed more to the studios bank accounts than alot of people who read this forum trying to figure out the best way to steal this stuff, maybe yourself as well, so please don't lecture me about forum rules.
I do own the 4 discs mentioned above, I'm just not at my home where they reside currently and I want to watch the movies from my hard drive. I've actually got the sequence to Spiderman 2 almost figured out.
Anyway, not a big deal, just trying to save myself some time.

Sounds like you're trying to rationalize. No matter how many discs you own, the amount that you spent never becomes an "implied rebate". There is no minumum or maximum that you have to buy before they become free.

    How conveniently inconvenient.

Just take your warning like a man, or watch a different movie. Whatever you do, stop bitching at the moderators.

Your posts could with not too much imagination be interpreted as that you do in fact not own it. However, I'm very unimaginative (despite wordings like " Death Race blu-ray? I rented it, ripped it") and just wanted to make things clear what's OK and what's not.

@supreme- Nice attitude you have from way up there on your high horse.
I wasn't bitching at anybody till mats decided to beat me with his righteous stick. But again, I do own the blu-rays of these movies so the "implied rebate" and "conveniently inconvenient" statements sound like you were just looking to pick a fight with somebody.
I thought forums existed to help people. So thanks anyway for at least caring enough to read and reply.

@mats- Yes I did rent and rip Death Race, but the other four are sitting here in my living room so if you read again my exact words, you will see that I did not claim to own Death Race. But again, thank you for at least responding.
As I said, I was just looking for some help with a little issue, and not really in the market for a lesson in morality (despite my copying of Death Race, which I'm going to delete right now from my disk to appease you) and of course supreme2k's little lesson in humility I guess he was trying to impose on me (which I reject in it's entirety).

Allright, when I get home, I'm just going to re-rip them to get the .mpls files (especially since that would make everybody happy) since all this forum posting seems to have just stirred up a hornets nest.

I can be on a "high horse" because I don't pirate discs. If I ever do decide to do that, i certainly won't try to get help on a legit board like Videohelp.

Another tip about message board: You can get all of the morality lessons free of charge, even when you're not "in the market".

    mr adventure,

mp4 and mkv are merely containers. The quality is based on the codec, bitrate and other factors used when putting together the content.

@supreme- I'm sure you've never pirated anything in your life... not a single piece of music or a movie or a TV episode or anything.... now who's the liar? Yaaaarrrrrrr!!

@all: Stick to the topic in this thread, or yellow cards will come flyin'
The business of piracy/not piracy is over.
Personal discussions are to be taken elsewhere.

@mats- I know you said the piracy discussion is over and I mean absolutely no disrespect, but I'm home now and I wanted to post this picture to prove myself not a pirate. And I didn't just run out and buy the AVP 2-pack, I've owned it for months as well as the Spiderman trilogy and Pineapple Express for about a week.

In your defense, mats, he did admit to renting & ripping.
