Sorry, I only use my Mac for photo processing. But others here should have some ideas. And if you haven't been there, try the guides on the ffmpegX site: http://www.ffmpegx.com/howtos.html

This seems to be a fairly common problem. When it comes up with the dialog box, "Where is progress.app", you may not see that module in the list. However, just click on ffmpegx as a choice, and it should be fine from that point on.

I chose the ffmpegX and I get the following message:

output video width is not divisiable by 16
you must define a width value for the encode video which is divisible by 16

I thought all I had to do was drag drop and hit encode..... I keep getting stuck at the "where is the progress.app" and then when I choose the ffmpegX like you said, it still doesn't do anything!

Well, ffmpegx is actually a powerful tool, and that power brings with it some complexity, so it's not always as easy as "click and go," unfortunately.

What is your source file (type, frame rate, dimensions, etc.)? And what are you trying to convert it into (again, type, frame rate, dimensions, etc.)? Pay particular attention to the error message -- it is basically saying that you have chosen an improper output dimension (as the message says, the numbers have to be divisible by 16).

Post the contents of the logfile (click on the blue "i" in the Progress pane). That will provide a lot of information that can help someone here to help you figure out what's happening.
