Panasonic EH80 parts

A good friend has a Panasonic DMR-EH80 hard drive/dvd recorder which stopped working after many years of
heavy use. He sent the unit to Panasonic factory repair, which returned it unrepaired due to a lack of parts.
The parts needed were not specified, but assumed to be the motherboard or video board.
Is there somewhere on line where new/used parts are sold for Pansonic machines, other than Panasonic ?
I've seen many posts on this and other forums regarding repair or replacing hard drives on Panasonic recorders
but none on obtaining parts such as the motherboard or DVD drive. Any info would be appreciated !

Panasonic parts can be found at http://www.pstc.panasonic.com/EpartR...ListChoice.asp

Some of the motherboards have been discontinued, but the DVD drive is still available.
