philips 5992 firmware upgraded..avi files not playing which played before.

just got this philips dvp 5992. was watching this movie (MP (2008) [R5] [h.264] [Line AC3 2.0] {1337x} ). worked fine with USB drive. but i upgraded the firmware to v27 to v31 and now it gives error for the same file .video codec not supported..only sound and no video..

any help is appreciates or should i return and get another refurb one ?

if its already answered pls provide the link ..i was not able to find..

Try downgrading the firmware. I'm surprised it played it all, I didn't think they supported h.264.

i was surprised too when i read later that it does not play h264. dont know what to do now. i guess with get another and try again
