i have a samsung standalone. i tried to update with usb drive, and im not sure if it didnt finish, but after that none of my burnt discs would work, and my actual blurays didnt load. so i took it back and exchanged it. i got a new one, and everything plays fine, but it has a network port on the back and i know there is bluray 2.0 update out there. woudl that prevent burnt bd5 and bd9 from playing?

Which model are you using? The manual should outline the procedures. It sounds like your first update failed.
