ok i have image burn what do u mean by burn with udf 2.50
udf is a file system. You need it for blu-ray compatibility. I actually use nero, but you can select it in imgburn as well, maybe someone else can show you the stepsOriginally Posted by eric11111
here is what it looks like in nero

Cheers
what does the tsmuxer, do to the file
It authors the blu-ray file structure ; it will not be compatible with standalone units without it.
It's similar to how DVD's need to be authored before they can be burned to DVD
Keep in mind, blu-ray content on a DvD disc is not standard with blu-ray. It's not really about how finicky the player is, but about how tolerant it is. It doesn't have to accept it and without any AVCHD logo/certification, it's pretty much a variable - it's subject to what the manufacturer has decided to design the player to accept outside of normal BD discs (with blu-ray content) or DvDs (with DvD content) - not what is standard.
However, any player with the AVCHD logo/certification should accept AVCHD (and likely regular blu-ray content) on a DvD disc. Look for those, or try before you buy.Been away for a while and busy with work the last few months so I had no time for forums. My apologies for any emails I couldn't get to in time - missed you all! :-)
Turn off multisession in Nero too. Sometimes Nero doesn't seem to burn them correctly. It uses short 8+3 names instead of Long names.
My Sony BDP-S350 plays BlueRay content burned on DVD-R and DVD+R D\L without problems.
Same here.Originally Posted by wulf109Ben Johnson-I didnt take any stereos!
I've done tests with blu-ray content on DvD on several units. Just from my experience, I find the LG players can pretty much play anything you throw at them flawlessly - even some content that isn't fully blu-ray or AVCHD compliant.
But, although LG is resilient, and Wulf109 and Johns0 have had success with their players, these DvDs won't play on all units.Been away for a while and busy with work the last few months so I had no time for forums. My apologies for any emails I couldn't get to in time - missed you all! :-)
Ya,i bought a sharp bd-hp20u that wouldnt play them so i traded it up for the sony. The only thing i like to find is a program that will make simple menus for avchd dvds that won't re-encode compliant m2ts.But, although LG is resilient, and Wulf109 and Johns0 have had success with their players, these DvDs won't play on all units.Ben Johnson-I didnt take any stereos!
I always say with BD players, try before you buy when it comes to blu-ray content onto DvD.
Yeah, been there. I myself am tired of NeroVision insisting on re-encoding, even fully compliant, HD content - a quality and time penalty to say the least. The only thing i like to find is a program that will make simple menus for avchd dvds that won't re-encode compliant m2ts.
Here's something that shows promise, but speaking of "try before you buy", I can't find a trial download link for it, so I haven't tried it yet.

If anyone's tried it, please let us know if it does indeed fulfill on its promise. Even though the price is dirt cheap at $119, I still don't want to give them any money if they're misleading.Been away for a while and busy with work the last few months so I had no time for forums. Not great TBH, it wants re-encode everything, yet doesn't give you any video encoding options at all. It encodes audio to 2 channel Dolby Digital only.Originally Posted by PuzZLeR
Thanks for your post mh2360. Again, another disappointment, but I'm glad I didn't waste time on it after all then.
And you can add CyberLink PowerProducer 5 to that list. I experienced the same sort of problems with their trial.Been away for a while and busy with work the last few months so I had no time for forums. My apologies for any emails I couldn't get to in time - missed you all! :-)
Free tool for make AVCHD and Blue-Ray disc with menu (static and motion). Can also combine 2 or more disc in to a single one.

It doesn't re-encode the video and audio but produces avchd that jitters and shakes when watching it.Originally Posted by PuzZLeRBen Johnson-I didnt take any stereos!

Sigh...
It seems that by the time good, and complete, blu-ray software, without having to spend a truckload of cash, ever makes it to us the format will be dead by then.

Update,i tried multiAVCHD after reading that it worked with sony bdp-s350 blu-ray player so what i did was click on create multiBD instead of create multiAVCHD which worked.Seems like using create multiAVCHD creates non compliant files.

Used the latest version to make a multi-AVCHD disc without menu. PowerDVD 8 refused to read the disc but was able to open the hard drive folder from which it was burned and play that. Haven't tried it on a friend's Blu-Ray machine yet but after reading your post am fearing the worst. PowerDVD 8 also refused to play a single title AVCHD disc authored in tsMuxeR which I believe multiAVCHD also uses.Originally Posted by johns0
You have already chosen to bypass the blu-ray format and are experimenting with player features. The blu-ray format is not useful to you for your purpose. You want the divx/xvid model and Sony isn't offering that.Originally Posted by PuzZLeRRecommends: Kiva.org - Loans that change lives.

When you output the folder in the newest multiavchd use blu-ray for bd-r,powerdvd 8 will read the burned disc, when output as avchd for dvd/bd-r powerdvd 8 wont play the burned disc but your blu-ray player will if its avchd ready.

Do you mean even if it's intended for a blank DVD?Originally Posted by johns0
On a side note there's a lamentable lack of postings here on this subject considering how important it is.
Been burning my folders that way and my sony 350 plays them. Not much has been discussed on this subject because not many people are into avchd burning, its a relatively new format of authoring and burning and its not that important to most people, just us that are using this format.
