  1. I need a program which will let me re-label the languages in MKV-files. As in, I've got this MKV-file with 6 tracks, 3 labeled as "English" and 3 as "Russian". I want to be able to re-label several of then, for example into "Unknown" or "Swedish" or whatever.

Is there an app for this? Without having to remux things, that is.

A muxer which will let mux several audio tracks into a single MP4-file and have them both be recognized by iTunes and iPods would help, too, but the important things are the things mentioned above.

  2. You have to re-mux it (not re-encode)

MKVExtractGUI to extract the subs, rename them, MKVMergeGUI to repackage them. Should only take a few minutes

YAMB or MP4Muxer should work for your .mp4 muxing needs

    Cheers

  3. The changing of the names of tracks was for audio, not subs. But MKVExtract and Merge probably work for that too, thanks.

YAMB's muxing of multiple tracks is not recognized by iTunes and iPods (in iTunes, all tracks will play simultaneously at all times, on iPods, only the 1st one will play). I'll try MP4Muxer.
