Disk wont read

I had eye surgrey a couple of months back and the recorded it with a home burner. I can not get the disk to play, however disk manager tells me that there is 584mb worth of information on the disk. Im guessing that the disk was not finalized or something like that. I tried using nero to finalized the disk and roxio but could not I do not know the brand name of the recorder tha they used. IS there a way to recover the data on the disk without knowing the brand of recorder?

You could try ISOBuster. It works on damaged discs and may also work on a disc that hasn't been finalized.
