Hi.
What other codecs are there for low compression and in paraller low cpu usage because of no
big compressioning?
Please mention some.
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

Not sure exactly what you are asking for. If you are looking for codecs that don't over compress and have low CPU overheads when encoding, look at some of the lossless codecs such as Huffyuv, Lagarith and the MSU Lossless codec. There are a dozen more if you look for them. However they require a low of disk space - 30 GB per hour of footage is not unusual.
DV is also pretty low overhead with good compression (around 5 : 1)Read my blog here.

Hi guns1inger and thanks for replying.
What I want to do is, do capturing on a Pentium 3 cpu pc.
Its Pentium 3/450Mhz.
I want to know which codecs can work with low cpu usage. I don't mind the quality that
much don't want to go pro.
I know MJPEG does low cpu usage because I have tried it and that is the reason
I asked.
I want to achieve one movie on 700MB like divx and xvid, but with using little cpu at the same time
for the encoding.
Please help, or anyone else how knows. -
The PicVideo MJPEG codec, is the best capture codec for you PC.
On a Pentium 3/450Mhz you can only capture realtime to DivX at 320X240 framesize using CBR.
Virtualdub or VirtualVCR can do the trick.
I use to do it, 10 years ago myself.
There is also the commercial choice of WinVDR. It might work for you.
