Can I use the USB port on the Sony BDPS350 to watch divx files? I know it says the USB port is for BD-Live, but I don't quite know what BD-Live is. Sounds like streaming video, if so wouldn't that be encoded in divx? More info please.

BD LIVE is a feature for BLURAY movies. I have a ps3 but I haven't come across bd live yet so I can't tell you exactly what it is (something to do with internet features I think).

As far as I know the BDP-S350 does not support playback of DivX or XviD formatted files. The Sony PS3 can though. In fact the PS3 can even play DivX HD (1280x720) formated files.

madfrogs' link has nothing to do with the subject of this thread and is simply a link to his own post trying to get region unlock information for this player.
