Is there an app that can record audio played on a website? The website in question is a flash website.

    Thanks

Have you tried any streaming recording tool? Like Orbit or https://www.videohelp.com/tools/sections/video-streaming-recording . Or you can play the audio and use an audio recorder tool like totalrecorder.

I haven't yet. I have never had the need to do this before and I don't really know the terminology of it! I just formatted my PC and want to avoid adware/spyware if possible. Plus, nobody here has ever led me astray!

Thanks for your help. I'll try orbit right now.

I use the downloadhelper plugin with firefox. I use it for downloading video and audio from websites. Works quite well.

I didn't even know that existed for firefox!!! I gotta check that out. Firefox rules!

Anyway, I was able to capture it properly with totalrecorder. What a great little program that is. Thanks for you help as always Baldrick, and you too SanderMan

  6. Audacity is free and can record "what you hear". You can even use the crappy little Sound Recorder that comes with Windows.

SoundForge, if you have it, also records audio being played by your soundcard.
