I have a zen Xfi 8Gb player.
It accepts avi (divx or xvid) or wmv9 in 320x240 (176)
Its a known fact that the Zen goes out of sync with avi files, wmv performs a lot better. Personally I don't care for wmv but I'm stuck with it. Having done tests with super and virtualdub to take avi files to 320x240 xvid or divX5 I get real sync issues. wmv does perform better in this case.
I have converted one (CBR) tv series to wmv but most of the content I want to put on the Zen is avi with VBR audio, every single one of these seems to crash windows media encoder or video resize.
Is there a good way to deal with VBR avi content to output a wmv9 file?
I am using XP sp2 on a 1.7Mghz computer
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

Why not use the new version of Virtualdub which supports VBR MP3 and Direct Stream Copy the video and re-encode the audio to CBR MP3. This way you don't lose quality with the video and it's a lot faster than converting all those files to WMV.

I tried encode 360 but it didn't like my computer and codecs....
super does not do ( as far as I am aware) wmv9
AVC works very well but its a little slow...
it works tho, so problem solved.....
