Hi,
I used Apex Video Converter to convert an AVI file to MPEG1, then burned it on a VCD, but when I played it back on my PC and on my DVD player, the movie (audio and video both) plays too fast.
According to GSpot, the original AVI movie has a frame rate of about 29 fps, and the output NTSC vcd movie's frame rate is the same. How come the playback is too fast? Is there anyway around the problem?
Thank you.

Does the mpg file(not vcd) play too fast also?
Try convert with something else, like the old free tmpgenc.
Baldrick's suggestion to use TMPGENC is a terrific one. The free version will handle MPEG-1/VCD files very well.
Quick Media Converter will also do a nice job of converting from one format to another. In "Easy Mode" it chooses parameters that generally work without modification. It's also free.
THanks again. Using TMPGENC to convert directly to mpeg from avi worked! I already had TMPGENC installed, but I never noticed I could convert from AVI.
But TMPGENC doesn't work on WMV right?
Sadly, that is right -- TMPGENC will not work with WMV files. However, Quick Media Converter will.Originally Posted by LWC
