FAVC re-encodes AC3 audio even when I check the "retain AC3" opti

Is it because I'm using QuEnc as the "audio encoder" instead of Aften?

Can you post a g-spot or media info output of the source file ?

It would only be doing this if it either cannot determine that the source is AC3, or if the source id not DVD compliant AC3
