I'm just trying to convert a couple of DVD's using this setting (Final Fantasy Spirit Wihtin & Advent Children). Usually Staxrip takes about 2 hours to do a 100 min movie at CRF22, two pass, but this is taking around 12 hours for each! Are there any benefits in using this setting? I use two pass as I prefer to have quality in a better filesize, but might I just keep using my normal setting for anime as well?

I don't use Staxrip but both of those are CGI animations so I'm not sure you really want to use the Anime filter with it. Might do more harm than good.

That's a point! Duh! I didn't think about that! What about in general with Anime? I've got Ghost in the Shell and Akira, and a few Hayao Miyazaki to do. Is it worth using the Anime setting or just stick with the normal one?
Thanks
