Hi bought a Magnavox Model # ZV420MW8 Digtial Video Disc Recorder with VHS Recorder. I can transfer my VHS over to DVD- R disc and view them on my DVD player. The problem when i put them in my computer, it shows shows my DVD disc as blank. Do they have program out there i am suppose to use so it will see my DVD disc on my computer ? I would like to edit my DVD video. I also tried it on my desktop computer and my laptop computer, always reading my DVD disc as blank.
    thanks,
    TopGun

Buy Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden discs. All disc are NOT created equal.
Your Dynex discs are not the problem now....but they most likely WILL BE in the near future.

    Just some advise for you.

just finish up recording, and i looked for that Finalize option and i see it listed. This is one that page i am looking at:
    total titles: 2
disc space used: 1 hour and 19 minutes
    Disc protect: OFF
    Finalize: Unfinalized

Then I found another area that said Auto Finalize, but its has check mark next to Finalize already, I wonder why it didnt finalize any of my DVD disc ? I als found a area that said Auto Chapters ever 10 minutes and that is checked to but only showing two chapers.
    thanks,
    topgun

1.) Read the manual that came with your DVD recorder. If you somehow don't have the manual then here is a link to an on-line PDF version of it ---> http://www.funai-corp.com/6pdf/om/ZV420MW8.pdf
