    Every time I am about to close GOM Player, it constantly appears to stop responding.

    I tried setting the video output type to VMR9 Windowed, and that did not work.

    Does it do it with all formats of video? I haven't used it for awhile because of past instability problems. You might try the newest VLC player as it works in a similar fashion, but seems a lot more stable. Some players seem to operate with the overlay settings and that may be related to the lockup when closing.

    If you can't get GOM to close any other way, use the Task Manager to force close it under applications.
