  1. Using Firefox.

Removing the Flash plug-in is not an option since I frequent YouTube.

The only way I know of how to block the Flash ads is installing a plug-in that requires JavaScript. But with JavaScript enabled, the JavaScript ads would kick in instead.

Is there a way I can get Flash to be enabled only in YouTube and disabled for all else? Or something similar to that.

  2. I use an old version of Internet Junkbuster that I modified. When I hold down the left control key the filtering is bypassed. I block all SWF by default. If I want to see a Flash video I just hold down the control key and refresh.

    Flashblock
Blocks all flash and replaces it with a little "f" symbol. If you want to view that particular flash just click the little "f"

NoScript also blocks Flash, as I recall. You can have it block everything, so to speak, and then just whitelist YouTube.
