Hi. I've been trying to transcode some mpeg2 videos to xvid using ffmpegX. For some reason, when i open the xvid file, there is no sound. The volume isn't set to mute, and there is audio in the source video. This wasn't happening yesterday. What is going on?

Need help? Give us information beyond "It doesn't work."

E.g., post the contents of the Progress logfile (blue "i" in progress window) after the failed conversion completes.

What does ffmpegx say are the characteristics of the source file?

What are the specs of the target file?

You give us more information, and we can help you better.

Never mind for now. I switched to the ffmpegX preset from the mencoder preset, and all seems to be fine.[/quote]
