What program do you advice me to use for video editing? I don't need nothing professional, just something slightly better than Window Media Player.

What format (Codec) do you want to edit? Do you want a freeware or payware editor? For simple edits of MPEG, I use VideoReDo or MPEG-VCR. For AVI type formats, I use VirtualDub (Mod).
If you are interested in transitions or more complex editing, you may want to look into more advanced video editors. But again, in what format? -
Ulead (now Corel) VideoStudio is a pretty good entry level editor. A couple of rungs up from there is Sony Movie Studio and Premiere Elements, and after that are the big boys of the bunch.
