    Hello,

    Was wondering what chip needs to be pulled out to make this region free

    Also wondering what chip needs to be romoved to make the DVD recorder, record DVD back-ups of copy protected DVD's

  3. I think dvd recorders are very difficult to make region free, you are better off getting a cheap dvd player that is or can be made region free, and just FYI dvd's recorded on a dvd recorder or even a burner I think, are not region encoded?

    I was just wondering on the Region Free thing, cause I have one also, it is a samsung, and I thought they pulled out a chip or something, cause on the box it says region 1.

    But I was really wondering about the coding on the DVD's that makes the DVD recorder not record, how do I bypass that.

    It isn't possible to bypass copy protection by hacking a DVD recorder's firmware or modifying its hardware.

    Why else do you think that the Google searches you presumably did before posting here turned up nothing?
