  2. hey ive also tried googling this with no real results i found a site called http://pdfjpg.de/ but i cant open the file created on my computer or the image is altered
    then there are some other sites but they are all very confusing :/
    could someone please tell me a decent site for this, what i thought, should be a simple task...

    ^ "STDU Viewer" can convert all the pages of a PDF to standalone images.

    If you decide to use it, I recommend that you first export to PNGs, and later batch-recompress to JPGs with a software that allows the user to choose the compression/quality level (e.g., IrfanView).

  4. PDF to image:
    1) Photoshop. Or Photoshop Elements.
    2) Adobe Reader - some early version like 9 with the "Snapshot" tool. Select area, then zoom in (to 1600% if you want), right click, copy.

    Image to PDF:
    Any PDF Print driver, such as PrimoPDF.

    Both, for hardcore geeks: Ghostscript.
