    Hi All

    My first post here so please be gentle

    I have a Pioneer DVR-530H and recently upgraded its HDD to 500GB. I have not had any problem since the upgrade and it gives me huge 218hrs SP recording space so I am very happy with it, however, I tried to watch a DVD this morning but tray wouldn't open.

    I reset the recorder thinking maybe a software problem but it didn't make any difference. I can access the menu and recorded programmes and record onto HDD but I can't open disc tray.

    I welcome any help and suggestions.

    Have you tried asking it VERY nicely to open it's tray door? (Just kidding, sorry, couldn't resist.)
