  1. Why are my AVI2DVD dvd ISO files TOO BIG to burn onto DVD!?

Whenever I use AVI2DVD to make an AVI to DVD, I tell it to make an ISO so I can load it in Nero and burn it to DVD. But whenever I go to load it in Nero, its always just a bit too big to burn! For example, my latest video file was made into a 4.81GB ISO.

How can I fix this!? I really like AVI2DVD, because its a great All-In-One converter and I never have any sync issues with it!

    Please help!

Have you tried burning with Imgburn instead, just to be sure it isn't something Nero is doing ?

Otherwise it sounds like you are trying to squeeze too much on.

Standard DVD uses MPeg2. Figure 90-180 min max.

Some DVD players play higher compressed divx/xvid as files.

If you don't create an ISO (it's not really needed) how big is the resultant VIDEO_TS folder? Are you using Hcenc?

You can always make Video_Ts folder instead of ISO and use Nero Recode to fit it to DVD5.

  6. You can always make the overly large DVD as an ISO file, then load it into dvdSHrink, and obviously, shrink to fit.
