region code restore RTD209?

but I have one disk that will not work with region 0

I need to restore to region 1

I tried the same code sequence, using 1 instead of 0. that didn't change anything.

How can I change to region 1?

Is there a code for verifying the region set?

You can thank Hollywood for that. It's called RCE and it's to attempt to prevent region 0 players from playing region 1 discs by exploiting the way that players identify the region on a disc.

If no one has an idea, you can always rip the DVD and remove RCE and re-burn it without it. Some studios don't fool with RCE, but Paramount puts it on just about every (it may actually be every) DVD they release.
