Windows Media Encoder: AVI to WMV Two-pass problem

Dear all,

I have a problem when trying to convert a DV AVI file (around 1 hr long) into WMV format with Two-pass option on. After it finish the 1st pass process it will stop working and prompt a completed box. But the result WMV file only has 6KB large and plays nothing. Look at the log it said the "Output file stopped" after 1st pass and does not goes into 2nd pass encoding process.

I have tried to encode a MPG file into WMV with Two-pass option, it works perfectly.

I have also tried to encode that DV AVI file into WMV with One-pass, it works perfectly too.

I have tried to encode this DV AVI file into WMV with Two-pass in another PC, which works fine as well.

Is there any people having same problem and solved before? Or any suggestion/hints to sort out the problem?

Got the same problem ...

... reinstalling the WM Encoder (same version) solved this problem.
