Got an odd problem with the above DVD recorder....

Have just finalised two discs in the machine which play fine in this recorder. However, when I try to play them in my Pioneer DVR-420H it just says "Cannot read disc" All other discs loaded into the Pioneer play fine and I have never had a problem playing discs in it before.

Tried the discs in the cheap H&B DVD player we have and they play fine.

I'm using maxell discs so I'm confident that the media I've recorded onto is okay. Have I somehow set the Philips recorder up wrong? Has anyone else come across this problem?

    TIA

  3. Have you changed disc media recently from + to - or R to rw? I think they are handled differently..
Corned beef is now made to a higher standard than at any time in history.
The electronic components of the power part adopted a lot of Rubycons.

Will try another disc but the maxell ones that I'm using at the moment state DVR-R (Maybe I have a faulty pack and they are DVD+R labelled as DVD-R?) Will let you know what happens......
