ffmpegX doesn't support RMVB files when using the ffmpeg engine. If I told you how to avoid the "Incorrect frame rate", you would still end up with a new error of "unsupported codec".

On your second try, you're still using settings that use the ffmpeg engine. If I told you how to avoid the "mismatch for mapping" error, you would still end up with a new error of "unsupported codec".

Actually this is some improvement! This time you used a setting that used the mencoder engine to encode, which is what you should use for RMVB source files.

1/ Did you install the binaries (mpeg2enc, mplayer, mencoder)?
2/ Did you install the reallib library for RealMedia support in ffmpegX? There is a reallib for PowerPC and one for Intel processors. Use the one for your chipset.
3/ reallib is a plug-in for mplayer. Thus, only settings that make use of mplayer can use reallib. This includes all mencoder presets.
4/ mplayer/reallib has been known to be fuzzy about the source file suffix. Renaming .rmvb to .rm seems to improve support.
