Unlock code for my Samsung DVD-R100

Hello, I have a DVD R100 and have tried two hacks without success When I try to put the code in (3,8,7,6,7) all that happens is the channels change on the TV. Am I supposed to be doing something else? I've tried this repeatedly and really want to find something that will make my DVD region free as I have a Region 2 DVD that I am dying to watch. Any help would be much appreciated.

Here's one mentioned in the 1st link above for a Samsung HR720, which the poster says works.

The potential bad news for you...

Not every player can be unlocked.

Unlock codes stop working due to hardware changes by the manufacturer.

If you are positive that you have done everything correctly, then most likely a hardware change has broken the code and you are out of luck unless someone knows a new code. It happens all the time.
