Audio not working in Ulead VideoStudio 8.0 SE DVD

I am editing some video clips on my program " Ulead VideoStudio 8.0 SE DVD" .
The clips are captured from my Sony Handycam SR42E.
When i play the clip or Project, there is no sound.
What can i do?

Maybe you should upgrade from v8 => v11.5 ?

I know the program is old, i just started to use today.
Should an old program work yesterday and today?
I can't affort a new one at the moment.
Do you have any idea why it is not working? I mean the sound, may be need to
download some codec (where)????

Might work if Ulead VS uses external codecs...

Use mediainfo on your clips to determine what audio is being used, then install that specific codec

Downloaded the program , but not much help.
the file audio are MODD.

are you sure? this says ac3...

If those specs are correct, it's just MPEG2; and there are dozens of free editors...you could try installing ac3filter and ac3acm if ulead relies on external codecs

Yes that's definitely it

MPEG-2, AC3 audio. Install AC3filter and AC3 ACM codec. At least you can use all the other editors (not sure if Ulead relies on external codecs, but give it a shot)

did downloaded the 2 ac.., then when on Ulead but don't work.
i'll try a few more time ...and let you know

Ulead video studio 8 se, dose not support ac3 audio source as input
