EDIT: I configured VFW, choose in "decoder" tab the value "libavcodec" for Xvid & Divx, not "Xvid".
Hello.
I'm trying to split avi file with VDMod (VDM).
But sometimes VDM opens the avi but it's impossible to show frames in input/output video windows, and therefore I'm not able to select frames to make the split (windows stay grey).
Indeed VDM reports an error message:
Error decompressing video frame 0: a codec-specific error occured (error code 1)
All the clips I want to split are encoded with Xvid codec, but VDM is able to decompress some ones and print the frames.
Info about a file with this problem:
File information of VDM:
Gspot:
I tried to cut only a small 10MB piece and sent it to one of my friends who gets VDM also.
He succeded to open and read it with VDM.
Then I think it's a codec pbm between VDM and FFDShow (Video decoder or configuration of VFW), but I thought FFDS had all decoder/encoder filters, especially for Xvid that's not an exotic codec...
Question: do you have an idea to solve this decompressing error of VDM or how configure FFDS to show the frames in VDM ?
Thx in advance. Bye.
