help converting MKV to MP4 for PSP with subs.

Well I am trying to convert some Anime that is encoded in .MKV format to .MP4 so i could see it in my PSP, I have tried several guide and they do work in converting the file, the problem is that it does not convert the file "with subtitles" , i dont mind converting the files several time. so can someone plz help me, so i could see them on the go>>>> (1hr later) OK i I have made some progress, i manage to convert the .mkv file to an .mp4 with subtitles the problems is that the Audio is not sync and although it converts the whole file it only plays the firs 2 minutes after that the video freezes but the audio keep on going on...
