    hi,
getting the error "mplex.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close" window when running DVDforger 0.6.2alpha. Tried delete and reinstall. Different video files/formats. Removed and reinstalled codecs.

Been using this software on my other machine no problems, pretty much identical software installed, works no problem, but no joy on this machine.

Step 1 of 5: Encoding audio track 1 of title 1 in group 1... done.
Step 2 of 5: Encoding video of title 1 in group 1... done.
Step 3 of 5: Multiplexing audio and video of title 1 in group 1... Error!

You seem to get a lot of "Unhandled exception has occurred in your application.". It could be a operating system problem or hardware fault like memory or cpu problem.

    DOes any more programs crash?

I was thinking that myself, ran some memory tests and that from my linux live boot cd, all passed fine.
Even formatted, reinstalled and updated XP.
Just getting problems on this machine trying to run DVDforger or FAVC. Got DVDFlick to work a treat.
All games etc that are intense on the ram and cpu run fine too.

I'm guessing you have an older processor. The error is caused because your processor doesn't support some instruction sets, probably SSE2 or SSE3.
