Can anyone share the proper settings for encoding an avi file so it can be burned to dvd using either Popcorn 2 or Toast 6 Lite?

I've tried encoding using the typical avi to dvd ffmpeg without the authoring checked (to generate a VIDEO_TS folder) and with that option checked. No luck either time.

This particular avi file has a subtitle crt file imported but I have a couple of other avis without subtitles that I'd like to encode to dvd as well.

I'm using a Mac G3 with OS X 10.4 and eighty GB of storage.

    Thanks for any help.

Beside the authoring checkbox, there are some other variations in encoding to DVD with ffmpegX.
If you encode with the DVD mpeg2enc preset, then it is set default to using Altivec (Options tab), which should be disabled when using a G3 Mac.
