I have a question about DVD Lab Pro.
I want to make an music video and I have about 40 .VOB files (mostly 1GB).
Since Premiere and Pinnacle can't open .VOB files and Encore doesn's support the
video frame size, I've tried DVD Lab Pro.

My question is: How do I split/cut an imported movie in DVD Lab Pro?

dvd lab is an authoring program that takes video and adds chapters/menus and write the proper files for putting on a dvd. it won't edit them.

try converting the vobs back into mpegs with vob2mpg before importing to the editing program of your choice.

I've used the re-author/edit function in DVD Shrink to split vobs with some success. It's not "frame perfect" but near enough for most purposes. What I like most is that the edit bar remembers the end frame position of the previous clip.

TDA3 might work also - maybe even better for frame precise splitting

Or demux the VOBs. VOBs aren't designed for editing. Demux the video and audio content that you need and edit with that instead.

Thanks for all you advise. I'm going to demux the .VOB files and see what I can do with that.

I am not sure what you want to do exactly, but to cut .VOB files you can try Mpeg Video Wizard.
It will let you do editing without reencoding existing file.
If you demux the file and cut video only you will run into sync problem.
DVD Lab will import .vob file.
