.mov to .flv - Sync issue and shortened video.

I couldn't find an answer to this in the forum already, so I hope someone knows the answer.

I'm using ffmpegx to encode a .mov exported from final cut pro through compressor (using quicktime preset) into a .flv. From the default settings, I changed the framerate to 29.97, but I think I left all of the other settings at default.

My video gets progressively further and further out of sync, until my video is so far behind the audio that I can't tell anymore where it's supposed to be. It's about a 30 minute video, but it's cut to 16:20.

I'll eventually post a log and try to tweak it and test, but if anyone knows what I'm doing wrong already, I'd be obliged if you could point me in the right direction. Thanks!

Okay... trying different settings in compressor seemed to fix the problem. By encoding it through h.264 or mpeg4 instead of compressor's default quicktime setting, the flash movie played perfectly in sync. That sync issue happened regardless of the 29.97 frame rate or the 15 fps rate. The issue, then, seems to have something to do with that basic quicktime setting.

No big deal now - I'm cool with using h.264 myself if there are no known compatibility issues.
