Open a command prompt in whatever version of Windows you have (Run followed by
    cmd
will do the trick) and give this command exactly:

    copy VTS_01_0.BUP VTS_01_0.IFO

BUP files are backup copies of IFO files with the same name, so all you have to do is copy the BUP to the IFO name and you are good to go. That's what BUPs exist - you've got a backup in case you need it.

My knowledge of this stuff is extremely limited, so it's a good bet you can find better advice. But I'm pretty sure I have managed to generate the other files when I had nothing but the .VOBs -- and it wasn't using a program that's as complicated (to me) as IFOEDIT. I'm thinking it must have been FixVTS. All I can tell you is that I've done this a few times, and if I could do it, it can't have been that difficult.
When in Las Vegas, don't miss the Pinball Hall of Fame Museum http://www.pinballmuseum.org/ -- with over 150 tables from 6+ decades of this quintessentially American art form.

Try jman98's suggestion first. As he correctly states, ".bup" is the extension for ifo "backup" and it exists for exactly these scenarios.

If the bup file is also corrupted, then you will have extra work to do, to regenerate a fresh ifo from the vob's themselves as seeker47 described.

thanks but that command is not clear for me...
can i just copy bup file and rename it to ifo (in total commander)and add it to movie? is that what you mean?
    thanks

    Hi deejay.2001

    All answers are correct.
This one is as easy as 1, 2, 3.

    AND it uses Ifoedit.

So you didn't create the files ?

Try removing the video_ts.ifo and bup files, then recreate the ifos with IFO edit, then burn.

  12. Or just use ImgBurn. You don't need the VIDEO_TS.VOB.

Players will have problems if there is a video_TS.ifo

  14. If there is a VIDEO_TS.IFO but no VIDEO_TS.VOB to go along with it? Not in my experience. PGCEdit even asks to remove the VIDEO_TS.VOB if there's no content. I always say yes and have no problems at all. It is not required. The Nero complaint is a well-known and pointless quirk. ImgBurn, which everyone agrees is the best burning app by far, doesn't care and will happily burn a VIDEO_TS.IFO and VIDEO_TS.BUP with no VIDEO_TS.VOB.

Run FixVTS once again. It removes the false VIDEO_TS.VOB entry.
Then try Nero once again. If Nero doesn´t report an error, you can burn this with Nero or ImgBurn.
