I get an error trying to add a sub to an existing mkv file:

Warning: 'C:\Documents and Settings\User\Desktop\German.srt': This file contains coordinates in the timecode lines. Such coordinates are not supported by the Matroska SRT subtitle format. mkvmerge will remove them automatically.

I have used a subtitle that was made in SRT2SUP. I tried a sub saved as a txt and renamed SRT, and when I added the file, MKV merge thought it was a video track!! What do I got to do to make it work?

What I did was take an existing english sub and extract it, then translate it, and am trying to put it back with a different filename.

Why not just use the SRT subs you translated, if that is what you want ? You can take an SRT, convert it to SUP format, then just rename it to SRT
