Anyone know if the NTSC and PAL versions of this camera really is different? BH Photo have two versions, a NTSC and a PAL at a much higher price, while Electronic King Inc. sells the camera on eBay with the following statement: "Item is compatible worldwide (110-240V & PAL/NTSC)".
Could the NTSC/PAL thing just be a different power plug for the charger and a way to be able to price the camera different in the two parts of the world?
If anyone has the camera (or a HF100), is it possible to set the camera to NTSC and PAL in the menu, and is it correct that the charger is 110-240V?

You could download the manual or other info from Canon. This is from Canon USA: http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/co...nloadDetailAct

You should be able to find the PAL version from Canon Global: http://www.canon.com/

    If it's like the HV20/HV30, it's not possible to switch. "NTSC" = 60,30, and 24 fps; "PAL" = 50 and 25 fps.

(where fps = frames or fields per second, as appropriate).

    Cheers,
    David.

From my experience, most video cameras have chargers which will work anywhere in the world (110V-240V).

The crux of the matter is which TV system you use. PAL or NTSC.
