Strange Video Playback Problem on Dvd Player

ok.. so i converted some avi files using winavi to mpge2, then i merge everything and compile the dvd using dvd lab pro, but my problem is, when i play the dvd on a...mm dvd player.... some videos slow down (audio continues with no problem) and only in some parts of the video, like for ex: video 1 play good from min 00:00 till min 14:30, then from min 14:31 till min 18:00, the image slows down.... like if the framerate drops i think, then from min 18:01 till the end, the video plays good again, this happens only with the video, not the audio.

i made 3 different dvds, and all of them are from the same series i downloaded, so they are the same in terms of codecs used and all of that, with dvd 1 i had no video problems, but with dvd 2 and 3, some videos make that...... and the strange thing is that when i try the same dvds on my lap, it plays all videos fine!!! without slowing down.... so what can i do to fix this?? and its not the dvd player, because i tried the dvds, on 2 different dvd players with the same result...

Also i used the same method to convert all the videos.... so i dont understand why some videos have this problem (and why also just in some parts of the video) and why others play 100% good

My first guess is that WinAVI is the most likely cause of the 'strange' problems. Not recommended much by anyone here because of numerous problems. You might try the freeware FAVC or the payware ConvertXToDVD. ConvertX works very well and is similarly priced to WinAVI, but without the problems associated with WinAVI.

But, just for a test, try FAVC with the HC encoder. It's freeware, so your only cost is the time involved. If it works, consider dumping WinAVI. ConvertX also has a trial version you could try.
